Over 2 decades ago members of our community built the original Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club to meet our needs at the time.  Some of those involved then have once again put there hand up to provide us with a new fit for purpose facility to last us well into the future.  

We are extremely fortunate to have amazing people in our community who have put their energy & money behind this project.  They have managed to arrange planning approvals from Parks Victoria & the State Govt for this project – not an easy task.

They were also able to secure a $3.5M grant from a State Govt, $1M from the MPSC (the usual amount given to SLSC’s), & are now fundraising the final $2.5M to get this project completed.  For those who know how hard funding can be, it is quite an achievement. 

We are all hoping that negativity from any source this does not delay or stop the project. 

It is imperative that we, as a community, unite in our support for this project in its current form & provide no possible excuse for any delays, so that our community can have this amazing facility built.
